Rangers just signed Maurice Edu after watching him in the olympics. Do you think they took him over a Mexican player b/c the USA beats us all the time or b/c they got to see him in the Olympics and Mexico couldn't qualify?

  1. Both...People in this forum call themselves soccer(football) fans and they don't know who Rangers FC is!!!!!   If you were to ask any European they would know who Rangers FC is.

  2. these people only act stupid when its convinient to them acting like they dont know who the rangers are.

well yes i think its both.wish him luck

  3. no ranger probably signed him cuz he was way cheapper

  4. becuase of his passport

  5. SUPER???? lol rangers is not super.... ok good for them , now try getting a 19 year old to play for arsenal.

  6. Rangers suck

    Celtic is king of Scotland!!!!!!!!

  7. Lol Rangers?

Whose that? Lol well at least he is in Europe but like Pepe said it's not going to work if you try to rub it in our faces. lol

  8. Rangers bought him because they are desperate just to sign any player as their fans are going mad because they sold their best player and they didnt qualify for the champions league this year, they're not even in the uefa cup so are going through a crisis. Also they have huge depts and cannot afford to pay high wages as their manager and chairman have wasted a lot of money!

  9. Hector Moreno>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Maurice edu

Keep giving me thumbs down but dynamo and all you guys know Moreno is better than edu thats why he left for europe at age 19

  10. if you haven't noticed no one cares, good for Edu I'm glad that he is in Europe but if you are trying to rub it in our faces its not gonna work

  11. Because he already speaks english and because their cheap while the Mexican players are too expensive for them.

  12. the rangers are a very good club to play for.either them or celtic in the SPL.

a lot of these people dont know enough about european football to know that.either that or they are just talking in every negative way possible.because they dont like American footballers.

edu is a very talented d-mid/central defender.I hope he accomplishes alot in europe.rangers is a good club to play in.

  13. I've seen Edu play, he is a talented player, in my eyes, he's not above average, but yes, it's a good signing for a club like Rangers, Rangers ain't a great or big club in Europe, so don't try to say it is, it is a top 3 club in a regular league which has 2 or 3 regular teams and 1 big team, which is Celtic, that's the only big European team from Scotland. The other 3 regular teams in the SPL are Rangers, Aberdeen, and Hibernian which most of the times end up in the top 5 teams in Scotland. Come on people, don't try to act like Rangers is that good of a team in Europe, it's not a bad team, it's not a power in Europe, it's a regular club. But anyways, it's a good signing, he is a good player, young also, and I think he will bring something good to the team in the center midfield. Now, for me, a US player that I will watch when I have the chance is Michael Bradley, I think he will end up going bigger (he already is better) than Altidore or Adu. That kid is very talented.

  14. rangers are a respectable team and have more history/tradition than all the mexican clubs, they are in the one of the top 5 football rivalries of all-time (rangers vs celtic). i dont know why people are acting like they have never heard of them. last year they were in the champions league. im pretty sure that rangers didnt buy him based on his play in the olympics, they had been scouting him for a while now. good signing.

  15. Because unlike Mexican players, Maurice Edu is affordable by a team from a league which is weaker than the Mexican league.

Also Rangers is not that great of a team.

  16. you dont even know the proper name of the team. goshh i actually like edu but you make him look bad..shame shame shame

  17. No it was because Mexican players want to play in Germany, Holland, England, Spain, and Italy and reject other offers.

  18. idk but solo lo que se yo es que

CHIVAS GUADALAJARA Y SELECCION MEXICANA SON LOS BUENOS

  19. who the h**l is Edu?

    who are the Rangers?

  20. maybe because the owners of the clubs that most american players play in are american.....plus mls players are cheap as h**l....but they take way more time to develop.....and edu is just another publicity stunt they think playing great at an u 23 level earned him a spot....i dont think so the dude choked against barbados come on.

  21. Who are the RANGERS!?

  22. They chose Edu b/c he is more technical than most the young mexican players and is physically strong.  This is a physical quality that Mexicans don't have as a people and this quality can't be taught.  Im sure the decision was pretty easy for them. Another Champions league player for USA.  The dominance continues.

  23. Really, beautifulfutbol, ive never heard of the rangers. First thing that came to mind was power rangers, but thats completely off. Thats good for Edu, I guess. I dont know if its that good of a club though, but im guessing he's there so he can advance to a better club. Well, if its better than his MLS team, then all is well.

Something tells me your a clone created by Dynamo or someone like him, but i may be wrong...

  24. Rangers???, its not a big club, and that league only has a few good teams, but teams from Scotland aim more at American players, and i think the Olympics had something to do with the signing, and i think if mexico had gone over there then i think there would had been a few negotiations
