Monday night, CNN's Campbell Brown asked McCain campaign representative Tucker Bounds to give her an example of Sarah Palin's executive experience with the Alaskan National guard.

Bounds got very defensive and accused Brown of insulting him and Sarah Palin.

As a result of the conversation, McCain CANCELED his interview with Larry King.

So, why is the McCain camp getting so defensive when asked about Sarah Palin? And, why did they think that picking an UNKNOWN wouldn't cause people to ask questions?

  1. For the intelligent there is a difference between interviewing and badgering and all lefties accuse O'Reilly of that but when an ultra liberal reporterette like Brown does it it is journalism. We even know less about Obama and that is the problem if Brown and her ilk would delve into Obama back groound like they have Palin's Obama would have lost every race.

  2. Who is Campbell Brown?

  3. Because he could not answer the question.

For some reason this question never posted, please answhttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  4. An interview and a debate are different formats.  In an interview, the interviewer gets to ask tough questions, but does not get to argue if they don't like an answer.  That is what Campbell was supposed to do -- ask questions.  Instead, she got into an argument with Tucker by not accepting his answer and insisting on a different answer.  Tucker was not there to debate, just to answer questions. That's why the McCain campaign was fuming over the "interview."  Anyway, Campbell's bias clearly showed and I would never trust her reporting in the future.

If CNN wants a debate, they should make it clear, rather than ambushing a campaign rep.  Then they will get a campaign rep that is ready to debate them.

  5. Campbell Brown smoked Tucker Bounds like a cheap cigar !    He tried recited his talking points well enough but Campbell Brown kept pulling him back to her question and in the end, she beat him like a rented mule.

  6. That's how Republicans are, They can dish it but they can't take it

  7. Notice how he started stuttering when it came to answering Palin's national experience. It's like he's programed by McCain to attack Obama and ignore tough questions, especially about Palin's qualifications.

  8. HE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

McCain is a pissy little girl.

  9. The media wanted to interview Palin too but they won't allow it for some reason and then they complain that they are not getting enough air time. Idiots.

  10. McSame has put everyone in the Republican Party with the unenviable task of defending the indefensible or in other words everyone has been turned into Kool Aide drinkers. Their impossible task is to sell to the american public that a popsicle Stand manager is qualified to be a potential POTUS. The taste of the Kool Aide turned sour in his mouth.

  11. This conversation isn't doing our kids any good.

  12. Tucker is obviously full of c**p and never did answer her very simple question.

She was right about what she said regarding the equipping of national guard units and overseas deployment too.
