I live in northeast New Jersey recently switched from optimum to verizon fios about 3 months ago. I’m a sports fan love to watch all my games and ppv fights in hd on my sony lcd tv. But this weekend the big boxing event of the year cotto and margarito fight was only broadcasted standard on verizon fios NOT HIGH DEF. WHY??? What happened fios who dropped the ball? Can anyone tell me if i this is common with fios and should I expect this for all upcoming ppv boxing events. I’m seriously considering highly on switching back to optimum. Any info is greatly appreciated and yes I do have of course high def boxes and high def tv.

  1. Verizon did not intentionally not broadcast in HD, they can only provide the HD programming that they have contracts for.
