Why did WWE have to go from the attitude era to the entertainment era?

Why did it have to go from extreme to PG?

Why did it go from being aimed at 14+ to being aimed at 14-?

  1. because the older audiences grew out of their obsession with wrestling, but the younger audience was more into it. its all about the money too, WWE figured out they could probably sell more merchandise and aim it to the younger ones. well its my opinion.

  3. Cause in this day and age they know alot of people won't watch or let their kids watch if they have TV 14...but it doesnt't mean it won't change back some nights lol...its WWE! not TNA...LOL

  9. I think that they wanted to bring in all of the people who looked down on the style of entertainment because of what they were doing on the show. So I think that it was a business plan to bring in more viewers

  11. Probably because kids are more attracted to the WWE Merchandise than the screaming married women or the men are.
