Why did a sparkler bomb burn faster under a witches hat?

i made a sparkler bomb out of coloured sparklers put it under a orange witches hat/cone and some how made it burn faster? why did this happen?

well, it might have been random chance

and i can imagine that it some cases less wind could speed the burning

I think the best option may be that the temperature under the hat got hot - hotter than outside the hat (due to the sparkler and lack of wind) , and the hotter temperature sped up the chemical reaction ( the burning) of the sparklers under the hat.
