  2. One of the bigger issues back then was also the exchange rate difference.  Because a Canadian dollar was worth so much less, the Canadian teams were at a significant disadvantage financially.

    There were only two... Winnipeg and Quebec...

    It was for financial reasons... Winnipeg's population is only like 700,000...

  4. A lot of players don't want to play there because of the high tax rate.
