  1. have u seen his fights with cabbage and arlovski

    check them out.

  2. I have never been the biggest Sylvia fan, but his record speaks for itself.   He has the highest KO/TKO percentage of any HW, and since coming to the UFC has only lost to other champions (that includes Affliction).  HE is not the GOAT but definetly a hall of Famer by what he ahs done in the UFC.

  3. Pretty much universally across the board nobody thinks Tim is the greatest fighter.

But he has suprised people again and again, and he knows how to use his very large frame and reach to his advantage, and he is pretty d**n tough. (Was willing to continue fighting with a very broken arm against Mir).

People basically give Tim little to no respect, I don't think he deserves that rap, he is a good fighter, he just isn't the prettiest looking or most well rounded technique wise. But he has beaten guys who were supposed to kill him, and used what he had effectively. The heavyweight division in MMA isn't that stacked to begin with, but he does alright, and mainly only gets beat buy guys with great submission skills or guys with great strategy.

In the end I think he is a good fighter... not a great one.

  4. Yes, he's a good fighter, but I personally think his size and body shape slows him down! When he's on the ground getting pounded you can tell he has trouble getting up and out of certain moves because of his size. His last fight against Fedor his measurements were 6'8" at 268 , long , tall , and pigeon toed not to mention knobby kneed! Then their was Fedor at 6'0, 230lbs of nothing but a MEAN MACHINE!

    Hope I helped!!!

  5. He's good. He has a height and reach advantage over most of his opponents and he knows how to use it well. He has tremendous knockout power and has knocked out some of the best.

Personally i think ppl dont like him much is because he looks a little dumb and is a bit cocky. I myself don't like him very much, but i respect his fighting ability.

  6. have you ever seen his fights against randy couture or fedor???

    check them out

  7. He didn't win the UFC® Championship multiple times with "luck". Sure the division was weak, as it is now, but he was still the best there.

  8. I do think Tim Syliva is a great fighter - he is a 5-time UFC heavyweight champion.  His striking skills are great - he is a big man with big power, but seems his submission defense needs work.  With a record of 23-5 - I would rank him as one of the top 10 Heavyweight fighters in the world.
