  1. Well, Bush was pretty far left, too, really. It's a trend people who love power-- politicians, IOW-- will continue until they think it won't work anymore.

They've already gulled the populace into thinking the President is more important to their daily life than their Representative by getting most of us to allow their distortion of our Founding Document to stand.

  2. Good question; here's the answer.  We are not in charge.  A cartel of Elitists is in control.  Much has been written about this; for thirty yeas I've been hoping that it isn't true; but it is.

Why, after the incredible GOP sweep in 2004, did Congress go on the wildest spending spree in history?  Why, for heaven's sake, won't Bush secure the border?  Why did we attack a nation that did not attack us?  Why, when the Dems took over in '06 have they done nothing they promised their voter base?  Why does the Federal Reserve Bank exist?  Why did the Republicans not get our oil out of the ground when they were in control.  Get the picture yet?

Hey, Jeff 4 Obama:  Get a clue.  Four years ago McCain was being considered by the Democrats as Kerry's running mate, because he is a liberal.  McCain, was considering Lieberman as his own running mate this go around, until his handlers told him that would be the final straw with the GOP base.  Ever heard of McCain / Feingold?  Ever heard of McCain / Kennedy?  Didn't think so.  You don't know anything, therefore you are voting for Obama.

  3. It wasn't MY idea, I voted for Huckabee.

  4. Because the most liberal either part has is a moderate.

  5. Bush's presidency has left a bad taste in Americans' mouths when they think of conservatism.  Anyone with strong conservative credentials would have an uphill battle to get elected.  This is proven by the more conservative candidates being shot down during the primaries.

  6. mccain is the most far right neocon senator

  7. It was triggered by George Soros's "Manchurian Candidate" Barack Obama.

Unless you have researched everything about Soros and his connections, you do not have a clue.

  8. John McCain is not more liberal than Arlen Specter, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Gordon Smith, Norm Coleman, Ted Stevens, Lisa Murkowski, or George Voinovich (to name a few).

Why oh why do so many people keep saying that McCain is a liberal Republican???

  9. McCain is far from liberal. He used to be liberal 10 years ago. He used to be a "maverick" senator. Then he realized that he has to say whatever the right wing evangelical christians want to hear.

HE VOTED AGAINST EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN 41 TIMES IN THE SENATE.

HE VOTED AGAINST BUSHS TAX CUTS.

    HE VOTED AGAINST AFFIRMATIVE ACTION.

HE PLANS TO GIVE TAX CUTS TO THE WEALTHIEST 1/10 OF 1% OF THE COUNTRY.

HE WANTS MORE OF THE SAME.

    Far from liberal.

  10. didn't know they did.

  11. We have become so far out of whack that the republican paryt of today is more liberal than the democratic party of Kennedy's era. Yeah...their personal hero.

  12. Republicans didn't.....crossover Democrats did! McCain was almost out of the race when this occurred. So now we make lemonade out of the lemons!

  13. The Democrats always nominate liberals, (Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, and you can go back through history and find many liberals who made it to the Presidential elections as a Democrat. This is nothing new for them.

The Republicans are a different matter. The Republican party has many "Country Club Blue Bloods" who are unaware that most of America does not share the views of the Northeast, or the West Coast. (The Democrats have had this problem for years.) As a result, these elitist believe the country revolves around them and their ideas.

Remember that liberal Democrats from the Northeast, and the West Coast, and most of the National media refer to the South as a bunch of dumb, redneck hicks. They call the area from the Mississippi River to the Rockie Mountains, "Fly-Over Country, because its only use to fly over from one coast to the other.

Besides, Liberals, both in the Democratic Party, and in the media picked John McCain early in the Primary to be the Republican Candidate.
