  1. Because they are completely different nations with different cultures and histories.

I'm not sure in what way you mean Britain was more successful.  If you mean "why did Britain have a larger Empire?" it was due to her large and skillful navy hindering other European nations in their attempts at overseas colony building.

  2. Britain doesn't actually have a constitution. At least not a written one.

  3. because britain spoke english, and the french spoke french, if they had had  the same constitution it would have had to be written in frengrish.

britain won cus it had a bigger army with tanks

  4. They are different countries, different cultures and why do you think the Brit's are more successful? France ratified their constitution in 1958. A constitution is a set of laws on how a country is governed. The British Constitution is unwritten, unlike the constitution in America or the proposed European Constitution, and as such, is referred to as an uncodified constitution in the sense that there is no single document that can be classed as Britain's constitution.

Its like asking why did Mexico and the United States have different constitutions.

Check out France's Constitution compared to how the British do it, I think France has a much clearer set of documents.

  5. Because they are two different countries.
