Why did gas go up 20 cents in one day?

gas jumps 20 cents in one day because news of 2 refieries shutting down but tkes 3 months to go down 5 cents when the barrel price drops no no no price gouging? allegan mi.

There are some men/women sitting in front of their computers and broker's offices  and play commodity market futures in gas/oil 'futures'. A kind of share trading called 'commodity trading'. These people buy and sell 'oil futures' and hike the prices and make huge money and thereby increasing oil prices world wide creating artificial scarcity.

So the price of oil or gas as you say in US increases.
