Why would you come to a global warming site if you don't believe it? And how do you look at all the mountains of scientific research from all over the world, say "i know better than them", and still consider yourself intellegent?

Just tokenism I think.  They're not so much concerned about how to save the earth as how to improve their public image.  There are plently of enviro nut jobs out there who will pull all kinds of stunts in the name of saving the earth.

Global warming is a farce! The planet goes though warming and cooling trends over tens of thousands of years. Right now we are still in the warming trend. Remember the last cooling trend, I think it was called the Ice Age... Besides, 95-99% of greenhouse gases are from such sources as volcanoes and other natural events. How can we possibly effect the planet that way? And the "carbon footprint" c**p. We are presumably creating too much carbon dioxide. Woopty doo dah! Plants use it to breath and they produce oxygen for us and the more they get the more we get. The planet has an amazing ability to balance things. I believe we are able to take our selves out of the picture but only arrogance would make us believe we could kill the planet.

What is amazing is that there are fossils in the northern polar region that are from more tropical zones, like those found at the equator. Which of course means that that area wasn't always cold.

This being said, I enjoy clean air and think we need to find better ways to live to improve the quality of life. I am not for the wasting of resources. We should be spending our efforts making the world a more enjoyable place to live.

And to the statement of "public opinion" The majority of people believe in a god. Most don't agree which one is the real one. When in fact the whole topic of a god is absurd. But that's a different topic.

It's not politics, *sigh*, will you never learn? It is a fact, there is cold, hard, or more like warming, and melting evidence that points its way towards global warming. In order to prove a point, you need evidence, where's yours? Here is a little bit of mine.

The earths average temperatures have been steadily RISING for the past decade

Arctic ice has been MELTING, and just recently huge section of ice has broken off

Polar bear population is going down

The earths natural temperature fluctuations have stopped occurring, we were supposed to go back down in temps around 50 years ago.
