Why did he swerve to the right?

I'm not accusing him of anything but i was wondering why he went to the right instead of the left. I was just wondering becuase if he knocked out Kubica, Kimi would have overtaken him for the championship. I've only seen one replay, i don't think it was delibarate but i'm just wondering if anyone else noticed or was thinking the same thing.

  1. He didn't swerve right, he swerved left, which was where Kimi was. And he swerved that way because that was the only possible way he wasn't going to hit either of them, as that's where the gap was, but he couldn't turn in time.

  2. i thought it was because there was a wall on his left and he didn't want to go into it so he used kimi's car instead.

  3. If he did not turn he would have rammed straight in the middle of both of them

  4. I think he was aiming for the space on the left, as opposed to hitting Kimi.  In a situation like that I don't think he would have the time to think 'I will take Kimi out rather than Robert, as Kimi is my rival'.

Silly error but could have been avoided had the race officials not closed the end of the pitlane, but let you enter it!

  5. Kimi was on the left...besides, i dont think he had time to make that choice.

  6. There was no space on the right so I think he was trying to head for the space on the left of Kimi. Unfortunately, he ended up hitting Kimi instead. whether or not he had a split second thought of the pros banging Kimi, that's open to speculation. I think he just wanted to line up side by side with Kimi and Kubica and mis-maneuvered the car.
