Why did his skin feel so smooth soft and flawless today?

Today I was gently touching my friend's arm and when I hugged him I brushed my arm against the back of his neck. I noticed something I never noticed before. It was such a strong senstation. His skin was unusually smooth, soft and flawless. It's like I was longing to feel the rest of his skin on my body.

Does this mean anything when you notice his skin texture and how it feels when before you didn't?
