you know i would guess hes really shy, or he had a friend that went out with you, and wanted to wait a little while before asking you out, just to keep his friends

Maybe he just had to get his priorities right.  Maybe he was not over his last... he had something he was working on that needed more attention and now it is finished so he has time.  He can answer that question better than anyone.  Don't ask him right away...  maybe after 5 or 10 dates ask why it took him so long.  Maybe he just had to work up to it....  SHY??

Took me two years. And im not even a shy person. Just wasn't sure if i wanted to give up my up best friend for a girlfriend. Totally worked out though :)

he could just as easily ask the same question, some guys are just born shy, and really need that extra push, that extra hint, that extra encouragement, if you didnt give it to him, you cannot blame him, if he finally asked you after 18 months I really dont understand why are you complaining.
