  1. It tasted better and killed off germs

  2. Becasue he figured out that eating it raw sometimes made him feel sick.

  3. Well, obviously, he didn't cook it to kill bacteria. We didn't even know what on Earth bacteria or disease for that matter was back then. So one could only assume, then, that man accidentally one day put a piece of meat over the fire, tasted it, and then found it to be good. Thus began the art of cooking!

  4. Cooked meat lasts longer, kinda preserves it.

same as salt and smoking it although the last 2 do a much better Job.

  5. Because he figured out that it tasted a lot better and the fire protected him and gave him warmth.

  6. eat raw meat and youll find out why. blood would pour from your mouth down your clothes and you probably look like you just took a bite off someone.

  7. There are endorphins released in response to the smell. It's likely that humans smell charred animals from a lighting strike, or something and made the connection.

  8. By cooking it, the meat is partially broken down chemically making it easier to digest.  It probably is safer and longer lasting as well and those sorts of things would be adaptive.
