i have heard that a lot of people did not like Breaking Dawn..i personally loved it..

i have even heard that Stephanie Meyers is re-writing Breaking Dawn because of all the hate that she has gotten.

So the new breaking dawn [if my sources are correct] is going to have a totally different story line...

Why did so many people dislike the book so much?

  2. I did not like Breaking Dawn...I hated it. I refuse to think it's even part of the series (no offense to those who like it). I don't want to be a hater...I wish that I could like it...but BD ruined the whole series for me.

The honeymoon, I felt, was a little tacky. Bella was acting strangely confident and walking around naked! She wasn't her usual shy, self-concious self. The demon baby ruined everything, though. The whole focus was centered around Renesmee....ugh. She shouldn't even exist in the first place! I felt like it was fan fiction! It was horrible. I felt Jake's perspective was the best part, but I felt grossed out by Bella's growing stomach. When she went into labor, it was disturbing. It described the blood and her spine cracking...and Edward had to chew the baby out! It was morbid! And Bella and Edward's relationship was totally weird in this book. I felt like all Bella cared about was shaking it up with Edward! This made their once sacred and pure relationship into something shallow and absent. I'm personally an Edward fan, but I adore Jake, and during Book 2, I liked him more than Edward for the first time. But, the worst possible thing happened...Jake imprinted on the mutant baby! This ruined everything. Later Jake says that the only reason he was attracted to Bella was because of Renesmee....that's gross. So does this mean that the only reason for Bella and Jacob's love and chemistry was Bella's unborn spawn?! All the intimate moments, all the pain Jake suffered, and he wasn't even really in love with Bella?!?! It's madness! And then he loses his personality totally to this baby. So then Bella becomes a vampire. Now, I cannot relate to her at all. She gets a perfect, magical, happy life; she has self-control, she has Jake in her life without being in love with him, she's beautiful, and she can see Edward's glorious face better than ever! Part of what made the Bella-Edward relationship special was the fact that she was human; it made things interesting and dangerous, but it also showed how noble Edward was for even getting close to her. And Bella is now graceful and unable to blush? That just gets to me. She's not the average girl from Twilight, New Moon, or Eclipse. And her personality changes too. The cottage scene was horrible. I didn't appreciate that the love scene when there was no class or interest held for me. And Bella says that she didn't care if they did it day after day after day...how romantic. So Bella gets her perfect, happy life in the end. The characters, who I deeply cared for and loved in the other 3 novels, were neglected and the plot was flat.Their personalities all changed for the worse. I just couldn't picture anything in BD, while I could almost hear the character's voices in the other 3 novels. I was beyond dissapointed. Sorry if I offended anyone, and sorry Stephenie Meyer. Team trilogy!

  3. Stephenie said nothing about rewriting it. She likes it the way it is, and she hopes readers will eventually like it too.

    Otherwise, I have no clue.

Because it wasn't what they were expecting?

Stephenie backfires all complaints in this interview, seriously if every hater watches there will be no more haters

  5. generally, alot of parts were unorganized, and not faithful to the saga. this was especially true in the volturi scene..i mean COME ON, thats you've teased us about that since new moon! and in all of the chapters, everyone was like"im prepared to fight, this is what it has come to" and nothing ever happened. what a waste of space. it was all really confusing, and that j.jenks part was TOTALLY unnecessary (feels like she didnt have anything else to right, and didnt fit in the book), but ya there were ALOT of things she could've fixed. and baby?? where did that come from? doesnt she want to go to college, pursue any of her goals? all of college just dissapeared for her, and thats not the example she should display for 13 year old girls

overall, she needs to EDIT and THINK about things that will add to her novel, and make it readable and exciting, not just fill in space, and take away from the direction she was trying to portray in every other book EXCEPT this one. she ruined herself, and shows what a poor author can do under pressure, and not enough time to analyze what the HECK her audience wants. im disapointed beyond repair.

  6. I'm still not sure if I did like breaking dawn or not!

I really wasn't expecting this kind of turn out.

I was hoping there would be more of a fight between Edward and Jacob. I´m team Edward, but I was kinda hoping that Bella would stay with Jacob. It would have been a bigger surprise (I think).

Also, I feel like the characters, mainly Bella, changed completely. I mean, she really wasn't herself like in the first 3 books. I didn't really like her in this one, like she had a different vibe. She seemed very desperate for some reason (probably the s*x part), and I just couldn't buy the whole pregnancy and Renesmee Carlie. It was just weird.

As I said, I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I have to read it again and really take notes on what I did and didn't like.

But what sucks is that Team Edward vs Team Jacob is kinda over for me....

  7. I personally didn't like it because it was to generic and didn't fit the characters.  Like she made it that way because she wanted people to be happy with her series and tried to satisfy everyone with how the characters ended up together.  That part got annoying.  Like it wasn't appealing .  The story didn't have any action either.   Plus most of the fans were pre-teen girls who don't like the fact that Edward is married.

Btw. She isn't rewriting Breaking dawn.  She is writing another book from Edward's perspective in twilight.
