Why did mothers reaction was like that?

when i watched tv show and the husband decided to do revenge to his ex wife so on her wedding day he kidnapped their daughter to take her away. so of course the whole family was angry and the girl at 7 yrs old was smart for her age and told her dad to take her back because she doesn'tnt want to go anywhere without her mom, and when the daughter returned her uncle saw her first and started telling poems with her,and their voices were heard by all the family. the next thing mom runs out of tent screaming her name refusing all other relatives to reunite with her daughter she grabbed her and was in some form of hysterics. then fell with her to the grass while everyone else was watching why do you think her reaction was like that ? that she didn'tnt want her relatives to reunite with daughter but wanted herself to be the first one? mother thought someone else took daughter but when she she found out it was her ex husband it made her and everyone else upset

if the child was missing its understandable that the mother would want to be the first one to reunite with her child....if the father was playing some sort of trick it wasnt funny....I think the mother being upset is a normal reaction.
