  1. Birds do this to clear their air passage ways or pop their ears.  often if it is stuffy in the room they will do this.  It's nothing to worry about unless it goes on for a really long time.

  2. Your bird is trying to clear his throat.

Could be a seed lodged, or a piece of wood from a toy, or other object that must be removed Only by an experienced bird avian vet ot a vet with much experience with birds.

Birds throats are nothing like our's so you must not attempt to remove what ever it is.

  3. It's the heat. My birds are doing the same thing. "Yawning" helps to cool them off. I'd suggest putting a fan on them. It's working with mine.

  4. Probably sleepy, leave her alone and put a towel or cloth over the cage.

  5. Mine does that too, and I honestly don't know why he does it but it's not because he's tired and I highly doubt that he's too hot.  Cockatiels are Australian, so it would take ALOT of humidity to make him overheat and hopefully you'd know better than that.  I think it may be that he's trying to dislodge a seed, they don't use gravel, which some birds use to help digest food so doing what he's doing is probably just helping him digest his food somehow.  My cockatiel is 3 and she's always done it and is very healthy.  I wouldn't worry too much about it, if he's eating and drinking and is happy and active, he's fine.
