Why did my CritterTrail one cage crack?

Question

I just got a new CritterTrail one and an accessory and when I tried to put it on through the top hole it cracked and it was very hard to get on anyway so I gave up and put it on the side. I still would like to know why It cracked in the first place and the proper way to use that access hole if I ever decide to put anything on it in the future.

P.S. I fixed the crack with super glue.

Well, they're not very sturdy things and if you were too forceful with it, bearing it mind it's really no more than a bit of plastic, it'll crack. That's what happens to most hamster cages.

They cracked cuz they're CHEAP!!!!!!!!!

ugh. i thought i was the only one... i bought two and both were cracked. last time for that!!

the acrylic is pretty flimsy...but if you call the customer service number they will replace the parts for you :(
