I have my 360 Elite hooked up to my 33 inch Sony Bravia by an HDMI cable. I used it on average 6-9 hours a day, (play a lot of downloaded television shows) and then turned it off. All of a sudden one day, it just gave me one flashing red ring, and it gives me an error message. My friends say the error is caused by the graphics processor or something. Why did this happen to my Elite and is there anything I can do to fix it without sending it to the company and not the dumb towel disaster trick???

  1. This is a E-74 Error this is a very hard Fix It Yourself problem. Call Microsoft and tell them what happend to your Xbox.

  2. E74 error or scaler chip error and all you need to do to fix it is stop the build up of heat on the GPU and the CPU and you will be back in the game!

    Hope this helps!
