Why did my above-ground pool turn greenish then orangeish after adding cholorine shock treatment?

We just got an above-ground INTEX Easy-set pool, and filled it up. The water was crystal clear, the filter & skimmer worked flawlessly, and then I added Chlorine shock treatment and algaecide, following the directions on the packages.

Now the water is orange.

Did you fill your pool with well water or city water?  If it was well water, you most like have high content of iron,  in your water.
