Hi My 6month old kitten has been sneezing little sneezes for the past day or two but just a few minutes ago he sneezed and a few drops of blood came out. He is really active playing and running about and eating well . he has not been in contact with any other cats as has not ventured out yet. I am taking him to the vets tomorrow first thing but just wondered what this could be,

  1. like humans , he probably just has a cold, but the sneezing has hurt his nose. the vet will know for sure, but as long as it was a small amount of blood, i would not worry.

  2. I don't know but you are going on the right track! Thank you for taking your cat to the vet.

  3. There could be lots of causes. I took my beagle to the vet once because of a situation like this and it turned out he had something stuck in his nose (he sneezed it out the next day, darn dog). But it could also be something else like a respiratory infection. He'll probably have some bloodwork done and be prescribed antibiotics.

  4. DEFINITELY go to the vet.  Could be he banged his nose playing or dry nose but could be something more internally.  Good you're taking him to the vet!

  5. he probably has a bloody nose and is sneezing some out

  6. Is he a sick?  I'd take him to the vet as soon as I could.

  7. sounds like he has burst a blood vessel in his nose he should be fine just mention it to the vet tomorrow

  8. he probably ran into something and ruptured a blood vessel. nothing serious hopefully!! pets need more owners like yourself.. caring and concerned.
