  1. this is something you need to ask him!

  2. Hello, I don't of course know you or your case history with the dentist you use, but the inability to use the over the counter pain control medications you mentioned tells me that one of two issue existed...(1) The dentist didn't consider your current problem an emergency or he would have seen you on an emergency basis, or (2) He may have thought that you were simply attempting to get him to give you a script for a class of drugs you either didn't need or was possibly abusing....Unfortunately, so many drug users have played the after business hours or last minute before closing call saying they were in pain and needed a strong pain med to hold them till their appointment...and nine times out of ten they call and say they can't make it,  grandmother died or some other excuse, so reschedule me and in the mean time I need some more pain meds...They will keep making excuses and rescheduling as long as they can get the drugs...I'm not saying this is your issue, I'm simply saying that dentist have been used in this manner and drug enforcement watches their script writing very closely these day's. If you have really bad pain just go to the nearest hospital ER and you can get temp help there. Good luck and I wish you well.

  3. 3 possible reasons

    1.  He doesn't believe you are really in pain

    2.  He thinks you will abuse the meds

    3.  He is just an a*****e, and deserves a swift kick in the balls!
