Why did my hair colour kind-of change?

I dont really go in the sun, I did, around half a year ago, and only around 2 months ago did all my friends realise my hair colour kinda changed, from ink-black to dark brown, but it looks kind of like highlights. I like it (: teehee, but what caused it and will it go back to black?

As you age your hair may lighten, it's very common. It can go back to black but I wouldn't count on it. My brother's hair went from dark brown to blond to medium brown naturally so anything is possible.

The sun lightens your hair but usually you would see the change around 3-4 weeks after spending a lot of time in the sun. Have you got dye in your hair? If you have dyed it ink black, it could just be that the colour is fading and needs freshening up. If your hair is naturally black then I doubt it will go back to black naturally but its best to wait and see before rushing out and dying the brown highlights! Hope I helped! x
