  1. Get over it, it was a hamster.

  2. she hated you.

  3. okay not like the first answer "just a hamster" how dare he/she well anyways I'd say is you took care of him he/she might've had a tumor rodents are pron to things like that or another illness or maybe when you bought her/him there was a reason she/he was on sale

  4. Hard to say.  It could have been an infection from the cut on her leg (how long was the cut noticeable?).  The cut could also have been from something much more severe, such as a broken leg, that you couldn't detect.

If you kept it clean, fed it, provided clean water, and kept it safe, then the fault is probably not yours.  It does happen with these small animals; they can be fragile and surprising things can hurt them.

  5. Sadly, it happens to every hamster, just as it does to all living beings. Let go. Aid an ailing, aged hamster. Make sure the hamster is comfortable. Don't try to take your old hamster out of the cage. If your hamster is dying of a sickness, take it to a vet! Remember these things when your hamster has gone:

You don't have to get a new one if you don't want to. If it helps, make a pet funeral. If you are going to mope around because of your sadness, you may want to get another hamster or perhaps a different pet. If it's all just too painful to watch, go to your vet and ask them to euthanize your pet. Do not flush the hamster down the toilet. If you decide to get a new hamster, make sure you clean the cage, bowls, and toys and replace the bedding in case your departed hamster had a disease that could be passed to another hamster.

  6. bad care at the store. you  should have taken her to the vet........

  7. hamsters don't have a very long lifespan - about 2 years.

the hamster might have been older than you thought, or the cut may have been infected, or it might have caught some disease.

  8. awh :[

Well I remember my hamsters I had to sell them so I was pretty sad.

but Your hamster probably had a infected cut. I mean she peed and pooped in her cage!  the urine soaks into the bedding as long as she crawls through her p**p and lays around

    -thats a possiblilty

it can just be the hamster just..had a short life span.

  9. dont listen to the mean people. she could have had a sickness you didnt catch in time? she could have been older than you thought! sry 4 ur loss! :( ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  10. pet smart is never a good place to buy pets, they only have a one month garentee and sell pets for cheaper if they are/were sick... is that where you got yours?

she just died because of lack of proper care as she was growing the early stages of her development (most likely)

  11. The cut probably got infected somehow. But since she was on sale she might have been sick already.

I am so sorry for your loss!!!

  12. well, some hamsters dont like to live together for a long time. so your hamsters that you use to have could of got in a fight with a different one.

P.S. thats what happened with two of my hamsters.

  13. did you feed her?

  14. most likely of infection, but its a rodent, thats not uncommon
