  1. dont tuch them seperate the mom and dad from the babys in different cages


  2. if the babies had human scent on her babies or the babies could of been sick.

  3. She most likely ate her babies if you touched them, then they would have the human scent on them. She may have also done this if she felt they were very sick, she would have done this to put them out of their misery. She may also have not wanted them or rejected them.

    1) Irresponsible breeding of a too young hamster

    2) Genetic issues due to irresponsible breeding of hamsters

    3) Poor maternal nutrition

    4) Poor maternal enviornment including disturbences

    5) Improper breeding and husbandry techniques

    6) Illness in pups due to any number of reasons, but genetics and maternal diet are often a factor

    A hamster that has lost a litter to cannibalism should not be breed again.

  9. they wont eat there babies if you touch them,my rat has had 7 liters so far and i always touch them,she probably ate them because they where sick.
