Why did my ipod touch just stop working?

I was on the internet with my ipod and i was scrolling down and the text became blurry and then my ipod just stopped working. it shut off by itself so i held down the sleep button and it still wouldn't turn on. What would the problem be?

It maybe due to a hardware problem. Sent it in for repair while the warranty is valid.

Was it low on battery? I have no clue what the problem could be that is the only thing i could think of! Try restoring your ipod that usually does the trick! =]
