Why did my mum react this way?

Question

I've just been watching something on TV (or trying to) and mum was in the same room whilst on the phone, talking over the programme I'm trying to watch.

Why then, when I asked mum if she could possibly go into the next room and talk to her friend and not subject me to the conversation, did she snarl at me, give me the "Longbowman Salute" and storm off?

Was I being unreasonable or something?

Well it is her house after all and she has a right to speak to her friend in which ever room she wishes you will understand one day when you have a home and family of your own.

you were'nt being unreasonable..i think she probably thought that it was rude of you not to say something like "excuses me mum would you please go into another room and talk 2 your friend because I'm watching a program and i can't hear it properly"

Maybe she would have appreciated it if you maybe turned the tv down abit,

but then, I'm sure most folk would just go to the next room anyways...

maybe she was just in a pissy mood - you know us females get :p

Do you always push her around her own house? She might have just been fed up with you. But that's not abnormal or anything, if you told me that, i would have done the same thing. Minus the salute, mind you.

erm...she was able to move in the other room with the phone unless you were able to move with the TV which is silly really. She just dint like it thats all.
