  1. I know it's a tough thing to cope with and I feel your pain going through it  myself  as a little boy.  Try to always communicate with your dad even the fact that they are divorced. I always got to see my dad after him leaving home, we still did things together.

  2. Why don't you talk to her about it?  There was obviously some problem in the marriage that you don't know about.  Stop acting selfish.

  3. Assuming that you are a young child under the age of 18, I must say this first: You are not the reason why your parents split up. Children are never the reason. I know this, because for many years, I thought I was the reason my parents split up when I was six years old. It took many years of hearing that I wasn't the problem for me to realize this.

You need to ask your mother why she and your dad got a divorce. Maybe she'll tell you, maybe she won't. She probably said it was a good decision in your favor, because it's better for a child to live in a peaceful household instead of living with two people who don't like each other. Do you get along with your parents separately? Would you rather that they are together and fighting all the time? Think about that.

  4. Tell your mom you want to see a counselor. She's not being fair to you to just put off your feelings with an answer or two here or there, divorce effects an entire family very deeply.  Find a counselor at your school or in the community.  Possibly if your father is a decent guy, you could ask to spend more time with him as well.  Getting an objective person involved helps to keep it about you and not a fight between them.

  5. She means that its better for you not to see and hear the fighting. Too bad about the divorce...feel bad for you. Why don't you talk to both parents and see from their side why they want to divorce...do it when they are calm. Take Care

  6. I am a father that divorced my two kids mother after 19 and a half years that was like ten years ago and they well tell you they were better off with out her so just talk with her try to see it from the out side in good luck
