Why did my sealed dual 12in box change to ported seem like it did nothing come answer please

ok here i go i have 2 12jlaudiow1v2 origanlly in a sealed jl box and it hit very hard had subs facing the back of the car

the change MTX BS212V Bass Slammer Dual 12" Vented Enclosure put the jl subs in box again had the subs facing the back of the car does not seem like it made a difference it actually feels like i lost bass what happen and should i face the subs towards the front of the car or what i also have the subs pushed as far bac as possible need advice i thought it would bang harder the box had awesome reviews

  1. You are having this problem because most prefab boxes are tune very low. This eliminates the peak in the response curve that you are looking for. A box like that may sound a little deeper than a sealed box. But, not a whole lot louder.
