Why did people think shawn bradley was so bad?

He wasn't actually that bad, 14 year olds just youtube videos of him getting dunked on and think he's really bad. But for a while he average 2 to 3 blocks per season. He can easily get the start on most teams back them.

Cause he was a girl and got dunked on badly...

but he was a pretty good scoring center tho just a girl...

mostly because it seems his main contribution was to help high flyers make a great poster, when they dunked on him. i mean, anyone want to make a list of people who dunked on him?

also, compare his states with yao ming... they were both roughly the same height, but yao does a lot more.

bradley- 8.1 points, 6.3 boards and 2.5 blocks.

ming- 19 points, 9.2 boards, and 1.8 blocks.

His problem was that he had so much hype coming into the league that he wasn't able to live up to.  He was supposed to be some kind of new kind of center and when he didn't live up to that he was pretty much screwed even though his stats for his first few seasons weren't that bad but after that he got sent to the bench for the teams he played for.

He was just really gangly and goofy looking. He's no Manute Bol, but for the most part he got the job done.

He was so slow and not quick to reacts.  But he always could block shots, i don't know how because he looked really slow and he was........

Shawn Bradley was better than Erick Dampier and Dampier is still in the league. Bradley could alwyas get you a block shot if you needed oe he wasn't an offensive threat. He was a huge project when he was drafted by the 76ers and never lived up to the hype and expectations that were put on him. The reason there was so much is that he's 7'6, but just because you're tall doesn't mean you'll succeed in the NBA. The only difference between Yao Ming and Shawn Bradley is that Yao has a little post game and a jumper. Yao is just as soft as Bradley, but his game was more developed then Bradley's was.
