  1. Most people go back because it's familiar to them, she was abused by her husband and so has chosen someone of the same s*x to abuse her her choice is to choose an abusive person she was most likely abused as a child and thinks that if she is not abused she is not loved. Her self worth is probably in the can too she can't work it out with a man and now she can't work it out with a woman, so she has some real head trips to get thru I hope that this does not happen to you cause it is a trait that is taught and learned and has to be unlearned good luck.

  2. sometimes when you go through something, like abuse, it's all your familar with and as crazy as it sounds it's the only thing that will make you feel secure.

if your really worried then just sit and talk with her. let her know how much you love her and how much it hurts you to see her being treated like that. let her know you don't like or appreciate the other woman and won't until she changes. give her hugs, let her cry. it's hard to just drop an abusive relationship. my x husband was abusive and it's hard for me to live any other way now b/c i got comfortable with it.

you may not get it through to her right away but just be there for her when she needs you. that's the best thing you could ever do for her and it will strengthen your relationship down the road.

keep an eye on the other woman. if she shows any physical abuse then do whatever you have to in order to get yourself and your mother out of there. long term phys. abuse leads to death. hit back, call the police, whatever. but do not stand for physical abuse whatsoever.

i hope this helped. if you ever need somebody to talk to then give me an email. im always free. i wish you the best of luck!!!
