  1. They did it for the s***s and giggles.

  2. Because Bush's dad administration trained Bin Laden to fight Russia! Then Bin Laden had the means to attack us because he knew a long War would defeat America in the long run!

  3. They.Hate.America.

    simple as.

oh and something about hating American values, the wrongful occupation of their territories*,US government treating them like sh*t for years*,killing infidels so they could be awarded countless virgins in afterlife(that there little pricks wouldnt be able to please anyhow),blah blah....lets just say they have ISSUES.

Some of their reasons are understandable*, some very much not...but dont go trying to sympathise with them, they lost that right when they decided to take the lives of thousands of innocent Americans.

  4. What terrorists? what bombs?

Some airplanes crashed into a few strategic targets, no survivors, just a passport and a mislaid suitcase.

  5. Because radical islamists want to take over the world. they want to set up a "caliphate". Just look at Europe. They are taking over already. Islamic terrorists strike all over the world. Not just in the US or Israel. If they only hate the US and Israel, why are there so many attacks in other parts of the world?

I looked up Che Guevara like someone above suggested. It looks to me like he was a murderer. He was Castro's hit man. It's strange how some people think he is some kind of hero.

  6. U.S foerign policy

U.S occupation of Saudi Arabia, Muslims see that as the holy land and that did make a few people angry.

whoever says because "they hate our freedom" etc. is brainwashed and needs to come back to the real world

  7. "Terrorists" didn't bomb America, they flew planes into buildings. And it's not just because they hate the US foreign policy, it happened because our government let it, or orchistrated it...

The US is really good at "fixing" evidence for reasons to go to war. Look up the different ways we entered wars in the past. Many, if not all, were false pretenses. Bush was looking for a reason to go to war with Iraq before 9/11 and this gave him a perfect excuse. Wether the government orchistrated 9/11 or simply let it happen is up for debate. The Bush family and the Bin Laden family is in the OIL *and* WEAPONS business together (the Carlyle Group), and when 9/11 happened, our government spirited the Bin Laden family out of the US without detaining them for qestioning... A LITTLE strange, isn't it? It's simply good police work to interview a criminal's family...

Sure, you'll be called a "Conspiracy Theorist" - but it's better than being a sheep.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

  8. They hate our freedoms and our support for Israel, the only free country in the middle east. These things really irritate the Muslim extremists.

  9. I recently watched a documentary that suggested it was aimed at Jews, apparently making up a considerable degree of New York's population. The people who were fingered for the attacks were said to be religious extremists who wanted to

    A) Instigate a Jihad or Holy War [A clear oxymoron]

    B) Take revenge on America's Government

I am in no way Anti-American but from what I understand there was a high degree of one-sided conflict in the middle east during the 20th century, predominantly at the hands of the American Government.

Regardless of WHY it happened, it happened, and it was a truly dark day in World history.

  10. Here is what is really strange. They claim that they are 'protecting' the world from the evil US. They point at our lifestyles and say that this is sexually deviance.

Now the funny part. The terrorists are 'hoping' to go to their 'heaven' where they expect to participate in every form of sexual 'perverse' act they can imagine.

So i'm guessing they figure 'no practicing' ahead of time.

  11. What is the point of knowing why someone did something like this?  They believe in a false religion and believe killing innocent people is fine.  Understanding people like this serves zero purpose.  Why did Jeffrey Dahmer torture, kill and eat people?  Does not matter it is wrong and he is dead.

  12. Hun, you think the terrorist are hanging out here on Yahoo Answers.  The real story is what we know about terrorism, they do what they do to cause chaos and attention for their cause.  Bin Laden himself is a specialist is what is called psych ops, meaning he knows the psychological damage it does...and he was right.  We pulled together initially, then 7 years down the road everyone is a critic and we have forgotten our horror at what happened and inside try to come up with conspiracy theories that boggle the mind.

Go back and look at the faces and listen to the words of the media on 9/11...it is one day that you got the truth, they were in shock, just as was the rest of us.

Old School, I agree with you...but it is us that are destroying ourselves now, he only provided the trigger.  We are commiting patriotic, democratic suicide.

  13. Very good question, and like most good questions, there are no easy answers.  At first, it must be recognized that much of the evidence linking the group known as Al-Queda to the attacks is suspect, even according to several professors and experts at places like MIT.  If we are to assume their guilt, however, we could start in the 1950's, at which time the U.S. started to push its way into Middle Eastern politics and control of Middle Eastern resources like oil.  To be BRIEF, so please look up anything you'd want to explore further, the U.S., through groups like the CIA carried out several covert missions during the sixties and seventies aimed at destabilizing Middle Eastern countries that were not "friendly", as far as giving easy U.S. access to resources.

The most famous of these incidents was the coup the CIA helped to carry out in Iran, which put the Shah back into power.  The Shah defied the fundamentalist religious authorities of Iran, and ran a brutal dictatorship, which the U.S. has never cared about, as long as our power structure benefits from the deal.  Eventually the Shah became TOO power hungry, (You can parallel this to Iraq and Saddam Hussein in the recent decades and get the same story), and the U.S.'s easy resource and income flow was disturbed.  So the CIA fomented another coup, this time helping to prop up a religious figure named Ayatollah Khomeini.  The Shah was thrown out, but the Ayatollah didn't turn out to be such a good friend, and the deal went sour, resulting in things like the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

During the eighties, the U.S. cemented corporate deals with Saudi Arabia, a known funder of "terrorism", since the Saudis were willing to play nice.  The U.S. was PISSED at the Ayatollah, so they propped up a new dictator in Iraq, named Saddam Hussein, and gave him munitions and millions of dollars of aid.  Some of the U.S. corporations and private interests, including the First Bush, that is George H.W., knew that wars make for good business, so they also started to give weapons and sell things to Iran too, so that they were paying Iran and Iraq to fight each other, and making money.

Some of the on-hand cash for weapons deals was made by the CIA by controlling poppy fields, (for opium and heroin), in Afghanistan, and selling the drugs.  Some of this money, since at this point the operation was getting so big, was also used to fund a "Contra" movement in Nicaragua in Central America, where the U.S. was scared that a man named Daniel Ortega, who was leading a group of freedom-fighters called the Sandanistas were going to threaten U.S. financial and military domination in Central and maybe the rest of Latin America.

Whew, that's a lot of stuff, but you can check out that episode that happened in the eighties by looking up the "Iran-Contra Affair"  Bush was questioned about it, but the whole deal went quietly away.

Next, Saddam, back in Iraq, got too uppity, so the first Bush went to kick his ***.  After all, he was threatening friendly oil in Kuwait.  The siege of Iraq lasted for more than ten years, in fact until we "went back" under Bush's son.  The only mystery is where all those WMDs went, since we knew that Saddam had them, because, well, we sold them to him fifteen years earlier.

While we were gathering poppies in the eighties, the Soviet Union was threatening our operations in Afghanistan, by doing their own evil schemes, trying to take over Afghanistan.  So we funded a guerilla group, CIA-trained, named the Taliban.  One of the freedom fighters we trained for this battle with the Soviet Union, was a guy named Osama Bin Laden.  His parents were rich Saudis, who are STILL friends with the Bushes and Cheneys of the world, and Osama was sort of a black sheep, because he was concerned with fundamental Islam, and Afghani independence.

In the nineties, after the Soviet Union left, Osama got to thinking, and realized that the war he had just been paid to fight for the U.S. was actually just part of a larger war that the U.S. was fighting against him and the people of his region in order to beat them up, and take their stuff, to put it briefly, and simply.  So Osama, using the equipment and training he'd recieved from the U.S., declared war on his oppressors.  He was well-known in the nineties, by other countries and agencies like Interpol, but it wasn't until Sept. 11, 2001, that U.S. citizens got a first taste of the Frankenstein monster that their own government had helped to make.

Nowwww...There are people with other theories too.  One of them is that our own government were the terrorists that blew up the buildings, to wage a war of fear on their own people, to justify larger, and not covert military action in the Middle East, and to make sure that Osama Bin Laden did not end up like Che Guevara on a T-shirt, unless it was a T-shirt with a bull's eye on his head.  Personally, I don't think someone like Bin Laden is a hero even if this was all true, but I can see how he might inspire people in third world countries to make more trouble for the U.S., like Guevara did.  Actually, to some extent, he has.  Don't believe the news when they tell you that Al-Queda are resisting us in Iraq.  They are only people INSPIRED by Al-Queda to fight for what they see as their freedom, so that the U.S. will stop beating them up and taking their stuff.  Look up Che Guevara, for another weird story in which the U.S. was up to no good, and learn why Cuba is villified, even today.  This is not to say that Cuba is a great country, or that Guevara or Bin Laden are good men.  It is only to say that whatever happened on 9/11, the only sure thing is that these countries and people did nothing different than the U.S. does.  Only the U.S. does it on a much larger scale, and will brook no competitors.  We crush all those who stand in our way or threaten our own terrorist power.  Our guns and tactics are a whole lot bigger.  Al-Queda can't afford to put up McDonald's everywhere or to teach their people about how cable television will change your life, because they don't have power like we do.  If they did, they probably would, because all groups like this eventually do really bad things.  If you give them 200 years of growth, they become the U.S. government and the multinational corporations.  We were founded by terrorists who fought the power of Great Britain.  But once we got power even greater than what we escaped from, we started doing the same thing to everyone else.  It's an ugly world.  Doesn't sound like the way we LIKE to present ourselves, does it?

Okay, look up "Iran Contra Affair" "Soviet-Afghan War" "Shah of Iran"

"Iran Hostage Crisis" "Che Guevara" "Osama Bin Laden" "Operation Desert Storm"  "United Fruit Company-Guatemala", and "Rumsfeld/Hussein"  That will give you a start.  Make sure to read ALL sides and opinions.  And then tell me why it happened.
