That wasn't fair at all. Does the BCS know how hard it is to go undefeated in the SEC?

Auburn went UNBEATEN in the Southeastern Conference!!!

Why do you think they didn't get a chance to whoop USC in the Title Game?

I just don't get it...

  1. They got screwed...thats why.   Plain and simple.   Yes, that is an absolutely amazing thing to do.   I am not an Auburn fan(GO LSU!!!!!) but I pull for any SEC team against any team outside the conference.

Oklahoma did not belong in that game, But, according to a bunch of sportswriters who decided the AP poll(1/3 of the points for the BCS standings at the time)   Oklahoma was the #2 team and USC was the #1.   Keep in mind, There are more voting sportswriters in the state of California than in All of the SEC's states except Florida combined.   There was only one Vote in the state of alabama at the time...and that Traitor thought the right decision was made(he was a writer that covered the tide).

You can also Thank the commissioner of the Big 10.   Apparently this man has Photos of top Ncaa officials cheating on their wives with farm animals or something.   Everyone is afraid of this guy for some reason.   This guy is the reason the Rose Bowl is almost always Big 10 Vs Pac 10.   He is highly opposed to any kind of a playoff system, because that would Make the Rose bowl have to feature teams other than the Pac 10 and Big 10(they have a huge contract with ABC....notice that the rose bowl is always on ABC while the other bcs games are on different channels, fox most recently).     This past season, the university of Georgia suggested that a playoff system should be created, and the commissioners of the big 10 and Pac 10 said they would not Participate if that happened.  As much as I hate the school, I was impressed when USC officials said they would go against their conference if that happened.

I Think the only true way to decide a National Champion in college football is to have a playoff system, and I do think it can be worked out using the current Bowl games.   But, until enough of the right ppl get tired of having the controversy year after year, I think the BCS is the best system we can get.   It is set up so that the Sportwriters (who would almost always have the states with higher populations in the national championship game)   cannot completely decide who the champs are.   But as long as there is no playoff, there will always be some controversy unless the top two teams are the only teams with that record.

  2. CHEATING! go tigers and pound on bama

  3. D*MN GOOD QUESTION! Im so mad over that, USC can go undefeated in their cakewalk conference, but Auburn beats the best teams in the nation and doesnt get there. Even had the best running back tandem in years. BCS is pathetic

  4. The BCS sucks.

  5. BS voters. I'm an AUBURN die-hard fan. I couldn't believe that c**p. But Auburn did set the tone for every other SEC team. Because of the criticism the BCS voters received, SEC teams now get an edge over other NCAA teams. Plus, as much as I hate to say this, USC and Oklahoma were ranked #1 and #2 in the pre-season polls which gave them the spots in the BCS National Championship if they went undefeated, which they did. And Auburn came in ranked around #20. Go figure. We suffered for othered SEC teams. You're welcome LSU and Florida.

  6. Auburn couldnt hang thats why..

  7. Because oklahoma and USC were ranked real high in the beginning of the season. Auburn wasnt ranked very high and had to work their way to the top. I think USC and choklahoma were both ranked 1 and 2 at the beginning of the season.

I agree that Auburn should have played USC in the Championship, but thats just the way the system works.

  8. 3 undefeated teams.  Someone had to get left out.  Nobody was going to beat USC.  OU did nothing if you could go back they would be the team to leave out.
