because she was getting robbed on the score because They tried to give the gold to the Chinese just like in the team competition, but in the eyes of everyone the chinese did not even deserve the bronze. The Americans were almost flawless,but if they made the same number of mistakes the chinese made they would not have won. It is truly amazing that they won even though they were not playing on an even or equal playing field.

It's Nastia Liukin, and that's her dad, a gold medal winner himself, if I remember correctly. Yeah, there were some rather odd expressions of affection between them, including a kiss on the lips at the end. I also suspected a little bit of nepotism in terms of how he treated her vs. shawn. i think next time they should hire an American coach who will treat all the athletes equally. Who knows, maybe he had something to do with giving Nastia an edge over Shawn, maybe riding Shawn a little harder during the team stuff - who knows. Just throwing it out there. But yes, it was all rather awkward with the Luikins.

In response to above answer, Liukin's dad was just coaching her, not the entire team.  The head coach of the women's team is actually Shawn Johnson's coach, Liang Chow.

That's her dad... yeah. Can't a dad be happy for her daughter winning the ALL-around! Amazing. And her name is Anastasia or Nastia.
