It is made entirely of sound effects. It says many startling things like "Look at me satan" backwards. I was just wondering what it's point was.

  1. I think that was probably an experiment of Lennon's.  I think he wanted to see just how far he could push the envelope of what people would actually buy and listen to.  He had made some disparaging comments about the fascination with Picasso's works, and maybe tried to do the same thing with sound.

  2. John Lennon wrote it while he was frying on LSD. It probably sounded like good music while he was making it.

  3. It did come out of Lennon's experimental period.

See Tommorrow Never Knows, Strawberry Fields Forever..

Some of the sound included the heartbeat of a fetus;  the child that John and Yoko was having but miscarried.
