Why did the Cowboys let Todd bowen go!?

If any of yall saw HARD KNOCKS on HBO you would know who Todd Bowen is #16. He's never really played football, and is barely learning the game. So he's going to make mistakes, a lot of em. He has really good speed I would say faster then T.O. If you see his plays he's always passing the cornerback, but has to go back for the ball because its under thrown, and try to break up the past so it won't be intercepted. And he was open a lot to. He turned into an excellent catcher. All he needed to do was learn the game a lot more, but that's okay because he's never played the game. He has a lot of heart. Like Jason Garrette said," He's the ultiment project." Please some one tell me why would they let a WR like that go?

tats the nfl  dude.   you only get 53 roster spots  48  team spots and 5 practice squad spots.  

its a multi million dollar  game  you cant burn a lot of roster spots on  'projects.  and dallas already has a couple of them like isiah stanbeck who was a college QB at Univ Washington but was drafted as a WR by dallas  and has worked his way up to  earning playing time and returning kicks unitl he hurt his leg a couple weeks ago.

you have 22 starters on  offense and defense, you need 22 back ups 1 punter, 1 fg kicker, 1 long snapper on   special teams.  who are you going to cut for your project??

Well you only have a spot for 53 and he has all the tools but doesnt have it down mentally, he's not football ready and those spots have to be given to those who can play now with little work....But I was kind of mad when they made Amendola and Lattimore practice players I was rooting for those guys and plus all the cowboys recievers suck anyways except for T.O. all those guys like Hurd and Crayton seem like F*** ups to me like they'll choke in a game but they got to make the best decisions that they feel will be best for the team down the road.

Projects are for teams that are rebuilding.  Cowboys are poised for SuperBowl right now.  They need proven backups, not projects.
