Why did the Dodgers get Manny when Torre is still Starting Jones and Pierre?

instead of starting Manny, Kemp, Etheir. He will start Manny, Pierre, and Kemp. Centerfield and Leftfield defense just got worse and Pierre is not the player Etheir is.

With the kind of dough the Dodgers are spending on Jones they are forced to play him. Poor guy he doesn't even know he sucks.

they should play kemp and either switch off if its a lefty on the mound or a righty then pierre should go back to center and manny should play left and jones sucks he should just retire he was a waste of money

They needed a big bat and Jones,Pierre and Eitier arent big bats. Besides its not like the Dodgers gave up alot to get him. Too bad he will only be a Dodger this year.

I think everything will change before the week is out.  I have a feeling that Jones will be released before the end of the season, maybe even within the next couple of weeks.  Etheir will be in there shortly as well.  The Dodgers WILL win the division.

It is amazing how Andruw Jones has completely shut down.  It's like he woke up one morning and forget everything he knew about baseball.

Because the West is very winnable this season.  They've got very good pitching, if they can score some runs they can make the playoffs rather easily.  Manny might not be the greatest defensive player in the game, but his bat among the top 10.  He is a .300 hitter that will hit 30-40 home runs a season.  Plus, now they can cut Jones in the off season.
