Why did the Green Bay Packers want to trade Brett Favre?

I don't get it. He is so good. Aaron Rodgers isn't as good as him in my opinion.

They didn't want to trade Brett. They were forced to by Brett. The Packers wanted to move on with Rodgers, but couldn't see Brett in another uniform. It doesn't really matter if he is good. He is at the very end of his career. Rodgers has been sitting for three years. That is way too long for a quarterback. Should the Packer really continue to pay Rodgers millions to sit on the bench?

Because:

1)They had "moved on" with Aaron Rodgers and "the train ha[d] left the station" and Brett Favre did not appear to be on it, according to Mike McCarthy.

2) Because Ted Thompson was building a new young team, and Favre was not part of that vision.

3) Because Mike Murphy did not anticipate all the negative fall-out of the trade.

4) Because Brett Favre's retirement has been weighing in on the Packers for several years.

Brett didn't want to play as a back up, so he had a bad attitude in the locker room. There was too much c**p said between Brett and the owner, I think the Packers should have let the two quarterback compete for the starting position. This would have saved a lot of the circus ride we seen and heard. Let the best man win.

Where have u been on the moon?Because Favre said he was going to retire then he said he wated to play.Packers said they would love to have him back.Then Favre said he was going to stay retired.Oh and also Favre has has said he was going to retire for the last three years.In its most simple explanation the Packesr got tired of Farve's c**p.
