Why did the Houston Oilers change their name to the Texans

  1. They didnt. you see, the oilers franchise was moved in the season of 1996-1997. moved to tennessee where they became the titans. then a new franchise was bought (the texans) in houston.


  2. They didn't.. the Houston Oilers are now the Tennessee Titans.. :)--((the colors are still the same actually)).. The Texans are just a new expansion team

  3. thats not correct...the oilers moved and became the TN Titans
