Why did the Israeli public lose its faith in the IDF?

After the 2006 war(some people like to call it police action as the result did not suit them) probes and investigations for the reasons of the IDF failure took place and brought out very confidential corrective actions to be taken to improve the image of IDF.

Now, Why the Israeli Public lost faith in IDF

Nobody lost faith. You are just interpreting it wrong.

They are on front line of defense.

Images should always be good of our troops. They are the best and they need to be represented the best.

America supports its troops and so does Israel.

Now, regarding Olmert that is another story.  That issue is still very much up for debate.

It is more correct to say that Israelis lost faith in the government.

After all, it is the government which determines the final course of action.

It is the government which dictates to the Chief of Staff (the general in charge of the IDF).

I'm not listening to you.  You are making assumptions and assigning reactions that are not true.

The Israeli's may have lost their faith in Olmert but the Idf is still a badge of honor.

As well as a formidable force.  The government was just too easy on them.

How the h**l would you know what the Jewish people or Israeli Arabs for that matter think.

What are you talking about? The Israeli public loves and supports the IDF and all those who serve.  Don't believe everything you read. The IDF is HOT and ready.

I pray Israel is not attacked or provoked... peace would really be welcomed, Israel longs for, prays for, sings for, and desires peace. at the same time, she stands ready to defend herself with the righteous and brave soldiers of the IDF.

IDF is one of the best armies in the world, certainly better then anyone else in the middle east.

It's the government we lost faith in, not IDF.

When the government doesn't allow IDF to do what it has to do IDF cannot give it's all.
