  1. They lost WWI & most of the Middle East was invaded by the British & French by that time.


  2. it was due to the efforts of T. E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence was the liaison to the Arab rebels during the Arab Revolt. He convince the Arab leader to co-ordinate their attack on Ottoman forces in order to tie up Turkish troops and weakling the Ottoman Empire.

  4. The Ottoman empire had been slowly rotting from the inside for 2 or 3 centuries, a state that had become obvious and cause problems during the second half of the 19th century.

    With the additional external pressures of a very expansionist Russia, and the colonial powers nibbling at its borders, plus the odd factor like TE lauwrence or the Mad Mullah stiirring subject populations, and the slow influx of Zionist Jews who definitely did not see themselves as subjects of the Sublime Porte, the empire was ready to dissolve by the time WWI started, and since the Turks had sided with the Austro-Hungarian/German alliance against the Russians, and were among the defeated, the empire was taken over by the colonial empires after 1918. It took the military and political Genius of Mustafa Kemal to even save modern Turkey as a Turkish state rather than it getting divided between the Greek, Armenians and Kurds who all had some grievances agaisnt the Turks.

Middle east  countries were always wanted to get abe free from the ottoman empire, especially palestine. the english made the protopcol.  - any countries join the english againt german in world's war 2, those countries would be free from the mother colonial countries after finished the world's war 2.  

    but in the case of palestine was the fault of the english that made two promisses, to free the palestinien from ottoman-turk awhile moved the jewish in ussr to palestine in the same time.

  7. Short answer: the were allied with Germany and Austria, and lost the war. Lawrence, whether he liked it or not, was a British officer working for the British cause.

    The Ottoman empire lost the war, and afterwards most of their former territory became British or French mandate territories.
