  1. because he is only 4 months old and babies at that age sleep up to 18 hours a day!!! and if you waited until the end of the speech when her whole family was on the stage you would have seen that the baby did open his eyes more then once!:)

  2. Infants sleep about 20 hours a day. which is why the baby never should have been in an arena with 1000's of germy people in the first place. But when Republicans do something irresponsible, it's ok. I've learned that much.

  3. at the end when the family was on stage and she was holding the baby his eyes WERE open,,he was awake.

  4. After watching the convention that is the only thing you were worried about. Newborns tend to sleep a lot!

  5. It's not a real baby. It's actually a Cabbage Patch Kid...

  6. Babies sleep a lot, maybe you never been around one.

  7. That's what babies do, they sleep. And they love to be in the arms of those that love them. Something liberal democrats and womens lib don't seem to understand.

  8. 2 reasons, babies sleep a lot and the child has Downs Syndrome

  9. i was wondering the same thing.  i found it very odd that the beautiful baby was able to stay asleep most of the time in that type of setting with all those screaming lunatics

  10. Some babies who have Down syndrome have poor muscle tone.  He may just not move as much as other babies his size.   They are also more likely to have hearing loss.

  11. ummm because it was late.  He slept a bit but I also saw him awake.  I've seen babies that ages sleep through anything.

Maybe he's deaf.  Does it matter?

  12. I saw him awake. Besides, he is only 5 months old...thats what babies do at that age-sleep! Haven't you ever seen babies sleep though loud noises? (Ever been to the fair, or a park, or zoo, or store??)

    I think he is beautiful.

  13. Because the child is a baby and babies sleep.

Yes, I assume you are the only one.

  14. mmm, no i'm sure plenty of people wondered. I'll explain, some babys, like my nephew for example are extremely heavy sleepers. They rarely wake up from verbal noise. For my nephew, i know that if you talk while he's falling asleep, he'll wake back up, but when you talk after he's asleep, he'll be just fine. Every mothers dream child isn't it =]

  15. bored by the sound of his mother's voice or calmed by his mother holding him, no one really knows, do they?

  16. maybe you fell asleep because at the end he was AWAKE

  17. He was awake and moving around at times.

  18. Because the camera only showed the baby a couple of times and new borns sleep a lot....

  19. He was awake.  What are you talking about?  And why ask this question???

  20. No, I wondered about that too. Maybe it was kept up playing, maybe the mother fed it right before the convention, full of milk babies tend to go right to sleep. But another question I wondered about is, there are two older daughters, why is Bristol the only one who holds the baby, her back must have been so tired. Why didn't Palin's husband hold the baby. Why didn't some one give the poor girl a break.

  21. I'm surprised he wasn't crying when someone said Barack Obama

  22. Its not Palins baby, its her daughters.

  23. Because he did.  I saw him awake for several minutes.

Or... if I am completely mistaken, which I'm not because it is on video, it could be because babies sleep a lot.  Especially at night.  And... the convention was at night!

  24. The baby was as bored as I was.  Go figure!

  25. You mean Palin's grandson......they slipped him a mickey!!

  26. yea I'm sure you are but I'm sure you haven't nothing else to do

  27. you know babies that are only 4 months old aren't particularly very active.  i can't imagine one with down syndrome would be either.

  28. Because it's an infant.. infants sleep a lot

  29. The baby is a lot like Barry - sleepy, no accomplishments, carried around by handlers.  Maybe he can learn to vote "Present" someday.

  30. Yes, you are the only one wondering.

  31. leave children out of this mess.
