I get the rest of the deal... I get the green bay joke... and the pirates / dodgers thing.. but I don't get why the Sox did NOT want manny in FL? Was it just to spite him, because that's where he wanted to be?

  1. because there in the same division and they don't want to help there division rival

  2. Because there both fighting for first place in the AL east and the don't want to make them any stronger

  3. the bosox would not want to trade manny within the same divsion because manny would then play against them. The rays and bosox are fighting for the East and if the bosox would trade manny to tampa, then it would give tampa the edge to win the east. Plus, he wanted to go to the marlins, not the rays.

  4. So he'll be in the NL, and wont have a chance to hurt them later on in the season.

  5. Why would they want him to go to their rival that they play more than 15 times in the same division?

  6. They would have to face him in the same division and playoff race. That would not make sence. Trading him to N.L. would only mean the sox would never have to see him again this year. Unless somehow the sox and dogers are both in the world series.
