Why did the TV series "Friends" stop even though the show was really successful?

I was wondering why "Friends" stopped filming because it's the greatest show I've seen in my whole life. I really hope that they make a movie. Anyway, help please. Thanks. :)

The actors started demanding so much money per episode it became unreasonable. Apparently they all loved their time on friends, but thought it was time to move on. Personally I believe they were asking for too much. Shame that, because it was a brillinat sit-com.

It stopped because even though it was successful, it was also very expensive to make.  

The main six of the cast held fast in that they all be paid equally, and in the last season (season 10) negotiations, all Warner Brothers was willing to do was a short season with them because of this.

In the end, each member was making over a million an episode. That is over $6 million per episode in just salary.

Because it ran for a long time, its better to end an amazing show on a good note insead of playing it out, and letting it become less then what it really was.
