Why did the USA give a eye surgery to Iraq kid ?

Why did the USA give a eye surgery to Iraq kid , when the USA themselves have thier own people to give that to who need it ?

This one absolutely NEEDED it, and I'm glad we helped. There are ALOT of folks in the world who need help, and those outside of the US are generally less privileged to get help.

i feel bad saying this but its a publicity stunt. to prove that we are not the big bad Americans with our big bad guns and tanks. that we can be trusted and that our continual presents is to benefit all the Iraqi people.

Because. Why not?

Sure the U.S. has it's own people to care for, but its nice to lend a hand to those who need it.... that and to in a way keep peace with some of the world, since it seems like everyone hates us now...... but the U.S. is a very helpful country... they'll help everyone, and anything.... don't need a good reason... in my opinion. What do you think?
