Why did the acura rdx come with a k23 turbocharged?

you'd think they have a lot more to their lineup such as the rsx or civic si to turbocharge their motor as many honda enthusiasts like to tune those cars but how come the RDX? it's just a crossover how is it benefitting from a turbocharger?

  1. The turbo adds more power and low rpm torque, (cy using exhaust gas and heat to compress intake air), so that it can move the RDX sufficiently well.  You should consider some stationwagons that actually hold more stuff and are more efficient.  I heard the RD-X uses a lot of fuel.
