I'm not doubting evolution, I just forget what the actual reason was.

  1. This is the equivalent to asking, "Why doesn't everything evolve into humans?"

Are you that much in love with your species, that everything should be just like you?

    This is Ethnocentrism!

  2. ndfan013... Why not doubt evolution ?  there is as much evidence against it, as for it, but when we get two cheeks of the same a*se answering the same question, you can understand why the popular view has been taken.

  3. simply put, its divergent evolution. the apes are our cousins not are ancestors also.

  4. Consider dogs. there are numerous breeds, each developed for a specific purpose (herding, hunting, style, etc.) It's rare that one breed of dog can out perform another in that breeds specialty. (A malamute can't herd well and a corgi can't pull a sled well at -30)

Apes occupy ecological niches in the enviorment and have done quite well. Should their environmental conditions change, then one would expect natural selection to favor those that can best deal with the new conditions.

Don't expect to see apes develop into humans. Evolution doesn't operate towards a specific goal and we humans aren't the final product of the process. If an individual adapts well to it's enviorment then it's increasingly likely that it will reproduce and pass on it's characteristics to it's offspring.

  5. dude its simple. We are not the same species as primates, yes the dna is very similar but dont conpair us. We were different, which why we went onto become what we are.
