Basically they say you can't get a seizure from alcohol but my friend who drinks and also abuses prescription pills had a seizure. The doctor put down it was from alcohol bc her alcohol blood level was high. Even though she said she wasn't drinking the night. She also said that she had other test done and to find out her potassium is low. So, maybe that's why she had it. Nothing she says sounds right...

  1. Yes you can seizure from high blood alcohol.  The Dr. would of ordered a blood alcohol test to confirm this.  You also can seizure from a low sodium level, not potassium.  It sort of sounds like she has destroyed too many brain cells from drinking..  If she's your friend take her to a AA meeting soon before she kills herslf.  She could of gone into a irreversible coma and died, add to that the damage she is doing to her liver from both the drugs and alcohol.  Good luck.

  2. dont beleive alcoholic drug addicts

  3. Excessive drinking of alcohol damages the brain and can bring on things like black outs and seizers. Your friend needs help before she damages her body any more There really needs to be a lot more education about what  abuse of alcohol actually does....people die, can become vegetables from what is called a "wet" brain and mixing prescription  (or any other ) drugs with alcohol makes the matter a whole lot worse. Get your friend onto high dosses of Vit. B, eating plenty of food high in potassium like bananas and give her plenty of support in getting off the alcohol and drugs.
