Question:

Why did the government lie to us about shooting down a disabled spy sattelite to protect American lives?

When this was first in the news that fishy smell already started festering. In the space community, we all know that falling sattelites never cause any immediate danger to human. Most crash in the ocean or break apart during re-entry. My first opinion was this is a test of new weapons technology under the guise of saving American lives.

If any of you forgot the actual official government statement...all lies by the way..."Disabled spy sattelite that lost contact immediately after launch will be shot down with a first attempt in history to shoot an object in orbit." Why would the government spend big money to attempt a FIRST TIME IN HISTORY EVENT when scientists said there is no danger?

I guess my real question is, do you know as well as I do that it was a test of new space weapon technology so we can dominate space?....thoughts?

  1. well your right. nothing but a test of military might as America is so well at. and no doubt there will be more of these first time in history events. well there may be a second time in history thing..like a government for the people.

  2. There is medication available to help you with your paranoid thoughts, I suggest you see a shrink real soon.

  3. The government's main mode of opperations is lying. They have been proven to have lied before- whats stopping them from doing it again.

  4. If you are right and that is what it was, then I say Great.

  5. Our government has been lying to us for years.

  6. My thought is...I couldn't care less. Why? I'm old. I'll be dead soon. I would like to stick around long enough to see the Big Meteor totally s***w up the Earth's entire day, though. As far as "space ray guns" and other such nonsensical babblings, pfft. You kids worry about that. I'll be on the deck with a bottle of tequila, some blues, and the Schnauzer.
